Individual Therapy

Appointments can range from weekly to bi-weekly sessions, which can be discussed either before or during your initial intake appointment.

$115 per 50-minute session via Telehealth only

Insurance

I am not currently accepting insurance at this time. All appointments will need to be paid out of pocket at the time of the appointment. I do, however, accept HSA cards. It will be your responsibility to navigate forms of payment if you are in conversation with your insurance to go towards your deductible.

Financial Aid

I have limited space for reduced-fee appointments in a case-by-case basis. If you would like to connect about potential reduced rates, please feel free to contact me for further information.

*A 48 hour notice to cancel your appointment is required via phone or email. The no-call/no-show/no-email fee is the same price as the session.

*Insurance is NOT accepted, but HSA cards are accepted and a superbill can be provided. Some companies use HSA cards to reimburse for some services (this is up to you to discuss with your provider).

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges. • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or email me at acollins@heartplaytherapy.com

There are many benefits to choosing private pay over insurance billing. Collaborate with your therapist if any of these areas resonate with you, and gain more control of your mental health treatment plan and goals.

  • Greater Privacy and Confidentiality: When you use private pay, your therapy sessions remain entirely confidential without involving insurance companies, who may request details about your diagnosis and treatment.

  • More Control Over Your Treatment: Insurance companies often limit the type, length, or frequency of sessions. Private pay allows you and your therapist to determine the most effective treatment plan without these restrictions.

  • No Diagnosis Requirement: Insurance companies typically require a formal mental health diagnosis to cover therapy. With private pay, you can seek help without needing a label or diagnosis.

  • More Therapist Choices: Many experienced or specialized therapists do not accept insurance. By paying privately, you can access a wider pool of professionals who might be a better fit for your needs.

  • Faster Access to Care: Insurance approvals and pre-authorizations can delay the start of therapy. Private pay allows you to begin sessions without unnecessary red tape.

  • No Risk of Therapy Being Cut Short: Insurance companies may stop covering therapy once they believe you've improved enough. Private pay ensures therapy continues as long as you and your therapist feel it's beneficial.
